In this space you will get your credential to SET e TRINTA and to the Show. It is right there you have to come back every day to join you for breakfast, accompanied by your Brazilian friends, and watch those lectures well prepared and pronounced by Brazilian and foreign specialists in each area. There are brazilians to receive and support you there.
Day by Day tips - Free Sessions – From 09:00 to 10:15 - Las Vegas Hotel, Paradise Room
On Monday, April 4, from 09:00 to 10:15 in Las Vegas Hotel, Paradise Room, will happen the NAB 2012 Show Opening.
At that time, Gordon Smith, NAB President and CEO will be speaking about "The state of the Broadcasting Industry", addressing how the NAB is working to promote the interests of radio and television station in Washington, aiming to ensure a vibrant future for broadcasting, as well as the broadcasters are innovating and capitalizing the technological advances, once again that radio and TV stations are currently operating in a business environment of fast change and unpredictable. Among the highlights include the legislative and regulatory priorities of NAB and the enormous public service broadcasters provided to local communities across America.
As a result, Rich Boehne, the EW Scripps Company president and CEO, will make his presentation about the case of your company. At each year, the list of companies that are in the market for over 100 years falls, victims of radical changes, economic pressure and consolidation. The EW Scripps Company, is a different company, 134 years and midsize, with interests in television stations, newspapers, local news and information sites. Scripps has demonstrated commitment to the excellence, innovation and outstanding service to local communities since 1878 when Edward W. Scripps founded a newspaper with $ 10,000 borrowed from his brothers. Under his leadership, Scripps became one of the first newspaper chains of private property. Later he founded the United Press International Service, which has became a leader of the world journalism. In 1935, Scripps began buying radio stations, got into the cable systems business in 1980 and in 1994 became a cable programmer, with networks like the HGTV and Food Network. The program "Scripps National Spelling Bee" inspired films, documentaries and a Broadway musical about the cerebral competition of high level. In the print media, as in the air as the Internet, Scripps is the first source for local and information news, benefiting readers, viewers and advertisers. The company strives to make communities stronger and more dynamic following his vision of long time which is "Give the light and people will find their own way." The companys portfolio of media properties with local focus currently includes 19 television stations (10 affiliates to ABC, 03 to NBC, 05 to Azteca America and one independent), daily and community newspapers in 13 markets and a central media in Washington , home of the Scripps Howard News Service.
Closing the NAB2012 Show Opening, Stephen J. Dubner, award-winning author, journalist and radio and TV personality, co-author of international bestsellers "Freakonomics" and "Super-Freakonomics" , will speak about this subject.
According to him, Freakonomics became a cultural phenomenon, generating multiple media platforms, including "Freakonomics Radio", the host Dubner, a popular Freakonomics blog which can be accessed on the website of the New York Times and a feature length documentary which was released in cinemas and also via iTunes. Through a forceful storytelling and a sarcastical insight, Dubner shows how economics is, at root, the study of incentives, ie, how people get what they want or need, especially when other people want or need the same thing. At a time when the media and the entertainment industry are undergoing major changes in strategies, moves, technologies and expectations, the realistic and innovative vision of Dubner about the media ecosystem is invaluable for understanding the Great Shift of the Content.
These three lectures promise to bring very interesting information. Try to watch.
